About the event

This is Part 2 of  our Intro to Backpacking Course: Backcountry Cooking

You can take the complete 3 part series (taking place June 1st, June 8th, and June 15th), or you can drop in on the aspects of backpacking you want to learn more about. 

Backcountry cooking can be a challenge for even seasoned backpackers. We'll get you off on the right foot by cooking different backpacking food options that you can prepare, taste and experiment with right in the classroom.  

In this session, you'll learn how to use different cooking equipment, what you need to consider when planning your backcountry meals, and tips and advice that will help simplify the weight, taste and calorie calculations of this vital aspect of the backpacking experience.
