Leavenworth Hiking and Climbing Campout

We heard our community's demand for adventure field trips, and are putting together our first ever overnight Gearhouse field trip.

We've put together a weekend packed full of some of the best parts of Leavenworth. If you’re a climber, we’ll be hitting some of the best rock around the area for everything from bouldering to trad. If you’re looking for more variety in your weekend, we’ll also be running float trips, camp cooking lessons, day hikes and forages throughout the weekend. We’re organizing hangout sessions at some of Leavenworth’s best breweries. You won’t have to worry about the details of what to eat, pack or do because our Base Manager will keep things running smoothly.

We include a weenie roast with all the fixings Friday night. We get you going Saturday with coffee, and greet the returning climbers with a charcuterie board of heavy snacks. We’ll be out on the town for food and drinks. Sunday morning we’ll fuel you up for one last outing with pancake tacos.

This is a Gearhouse Golden GOAT event. Our members are the most valuable part of Gearhouse. When we put on a big overnight event for our community, we like to recognize an attendee who has been an exceptional community member. Whether that's taking on extra time at the belay, making sure newcomers feel welcome, or doing a campwide trash sweep, we want to recognize those who go above and beyond to make Gearhouse great for everyone. We will be awarding the Gearhouse Golden GOAT trophy Sunday morning after pack-up. 

Water jugs for refill and firewood also provided. Fires are contingent on fire regulations in the area at the time.  And of course, we’ve got you covered for smores.

Gearhouse members will be able to reserve camping gear for the trip. We can also work out arrangements with non-members to get key pieces of gear.

We help make sure that attendees have carpool options to the site. Either join the Gearhouse Discord as a member and pre-plan with other attendees, or come to Gearhouse (434 Yale Ave N Suite B, Seattle, WA 98109) the morning of the event to coordinate a ride.
