Women Outdoors Monthly: Surfing

Our second Women Outdoors Monthly Outing is Surfing at Westport. The activity is chosen each month at the Women Outdoors Happy Hour.

Women Outdoors is member-facilitated and exists for women to support women in their outdoor pursuits. All outdoor levels and welcomes any person identifying as Women, Femme, Trans and Non-Binary.

This month's event:

Location: Westport Surf Beach 

Activity: Surfing - you will need to be a strong swimmer and comfortable with the ocean to participate

Departure: Meet at Gearhouse at 7.30am, organising carpooling, pick-up gear, grab a morning beverage, then head out

Return: This is an all-day event. The return will vary depending on the group decision, but aim to be back by 7pm

Gear reservation: You will need to pay for your rental on the day (check prices at The Surf Shop)

Logistics:

• Carpooling will get us to Westport (it is a 2.5hr drive each way)
• You will be hungry. You can bring food and your car may stop somewhere to eat before returning
