What to expect:
“Over the last decade, Osprey has had the privilege to work closely with Marcus Garcia. He has long been a true representation of our brand and what we stand for on and off the trail. From big walls to the speaker podium, Marcus exudes a type of passion that is contagious to those around him. His energy, approach to climbing, and positive outlook on life has made him a mentor to many - climbers and non-climbers alike. Osprey is proud to support Marcus as he shares his own experiences moving through grief during his speaking events. We are all lucky to have an icon like Marcus to tackle these important, often difficult to discuss, topics.” –Leland Kohere, Osprey Packs
“Watching Marcus present a talk about grief and mentorship moved me beyond words, especially so since Marcus had already become a mentor-figure to me over the previous couple of years, helping me through more than one rough patch of my own. Seeing the movie The Mentor for the first time was a full-circle experience for me; I learned so much about Marcus’ own mentors and his personal growth/journey after tragic loss. Loss is also about growth, not just pain. Marcus helped me see that along with much, much more. -Ross Warkenthien, RAB
