Intro to Skate Cross-Country Skiing

Skate skiing is the next level for those that have tried Classic XC Skiing and gotten the hang of it! (Or for anyone that has skied/skated/rollerbladed a lot).

Come try the flowing nature of skate skiing and cover some distance! It's tricky to learn but once you get the hang of it, you'll never go back to classic.

Details:

• Meet at Gearhouse to get outfitted with gear. 
• No helmets or goggles needed.
• Wear multiple lightweight layers of clothing for warmth and versatility (as if you were going hiking - including light weight gloves) and bring water, a small backpack, and snacks.

About Crystal Springs:

• Once you are in the old-growth forest of Crystal Springs, plenty of available trail routes await. Starting on the Beginner Loop is an easy way to find your rhythm and expose yourself to some of the views you'll be seeing all day. From there, check out the meadow loop and forest loop to see some Pacific Northwest scenery at it's best, and if you're able to sustain some climbing and gracefully travel down hill on cross-country skis, the Rollercoaster loop is a must and can guarantee you some solitude in this already quiet sanctuary.

If you cannot attend an event, please cancel within 48 hours of the start time. There will be no refunds and any missed events will result in a $20 no-show fee.
