Intro to Cross Country Skiing - Feb

XC skiing is fun and a great workout in the snow! It's as easy as walking and much more efficient than snowshoeing.

Let us make it easy for you to get started in this outdoor activity! 

We've got you covered for transport, gear rental, trail choice and instruction! All in one spot. There is no cheaper or simpler way to get into the snow!

This intro class will be on flat terrain, with the opportunity to progress at your open pace once you get the basics.

WHAT TO EXPECT:

• Meet at Gearhouse at 8am to get outfitted with gear
• If you'd like to meet directly at the trailhead - we'll meet there at 9:30am.
• We'll be using the Crystal Springs Sno-Park. One parking pass/car is required.
• Wear multiple lightweight layers of clothing for warmth and versatility (as if you were going hiking) and bring water, a small backpack, and snacks.
• Return times can vary

WHAT DO THE FEES COVER?

The $150 ($75 w/ a Gearhouse membership) fee covers what would normally cost you $250 at Summit at Snoqualmie Pass Nordic center:

1. all required non-clothing equipment for the day ($30 value)

2. pay for the instructor's time ($150 value)

3. required state park and trail permits for all full cars ($25 value)

4. gear transport for all cars in the Gearhouse courtesy van roof box (??? value)

Fees don't cover:

1. Coffee and snacks purchased at Basecamp Cafe

This course is available for $75 to members!
