About Jose
Jose Montes is a 15+ year veteran trekking guide and co-owner of Killa Expeditions. Born in Peru he grew up hiking the trails outside of Cusco and completed his degree in Tourism. He is now pursuing his lifelong dream of sharing his passion for Peru, Machupicchu and trekking, inspiring others to explore the unknown, and encouraging people to give back to mother earth and local communities.
